A federal appeals court just upheld Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s transgender military ban, clearing the path to discharge up to 1,000 transgender troops and stop all new enlistments. The 2-1 ruling from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals (December 9, 2025) rejected claims the policy was “soaked in animus,” calling it a legitimate classification based on “medical use” — not sex.123
Hegseth’s memo — issued after the Supreme Court green-lit the ban in May — pauses all new trans recruits and halts gender-affirming care. Current trans troops get 30-60 days to leave voluntarily or face separation with “dignity and respect.”4 Lambda Legal is crying “disgrace,” but the court said nah — military readiness trumps feelings.5
The Funny Part: There Goes Eddie Izzard’s Element of Surprise
Remember when British comedian Eddie Izzard (now going by “Suzy”) joked about joining the military in “girl mode” for the ultimate sneak attack?

While the left screams “bigotry,” remember:
- Biden’s own military allowed trans service under Obama, then Biden expanded it.
- RINOs like Collins and Murkowski voted to keep Biden’s policy alive.
- Now they’re silent while Hegseth actually does what Trump promised.
Evil on both sides: one side wanted social experiments in uniform, the other side stalled the fix for years. Trump + Hegseth just ended the charade.
