The Unofficial Reality
Mamdani didn’t just hire a reformed ex-con. He hired a celebrity ex-con who still brags about his past on rap tracks and podcasts.[7] This isn’t rehabilitation. It’s street cred for the revolution.
While NYC subway crime is up 20%, car thefts are through the roof, and bodega workers are getting stabbed for $3 in change, the Comptroller’s office decided the best man to “advise” on justice is the guy who once held people at gunpoint for cash.[8]
